After your surgery, you will feel like you have had a heavy cold for two weeks, although pain is rare. Most patients will experience under eye bruising and swelling over the nose during this time. The most noticeable swelling usually settles after two to three weeks.

Swelling, particularly over the tip of your nose may take twelve to eighteen months to resolve. Numbness at the tip of the nose may be present for several weeks or months. Patients are advised that it is normal to feel emotional after surgery.
